Raiza Costa- Dulce Delight Brasil visits with Mark Sanne-in Portuguese

A little back story here for you, in 1974, I was selected to spend a year in Brazil as an exchange student with the AFS student exchange program and it totally changed my life. I was sent to live in a medium-sized city in the interior of the State of São Paulo called Marília with the most wonderful host family, the Dantas Costas. As I spoke no Portuguese but was attending high school I was forced to learn to speak it very quickly and soon became fluent.

The love and friendship I experienced in Brazil stayed with me throughout the many years since and I have kept in touch with my Brazilian family and spend 3 weeks every year in April there(except for this year due to Covid-19) . The family I lived with was Raiza's grandparents and so it was especially meaningful to me when she called me and asked me if I would be interested in appearing on her TV show, Dulce Delight. Raiza has become a major TV, YouTube celebrity, and cookbook author both in Brazil and here in the US where she can be seen on the Food Network on her show "The Sweet Side of Life" and on her YouTube Channel, "Dulce Delight Brasil. Her enthusiasm, bubbly personality, incredibly well produced programs and culinary knowledge make her a perfect addition to your YouTube watching.

The video above was filmed several years ago out here in the Hamptons at the Wölffer Vineyards in Sagaponack, NY. and was my first appearance ever on a show whether in English or in Portuguese. I was a nervous wreck and had no idea what to expect but working with Raiza was truly a dream come true and one I hope to repeat someday in the future.
